Hyperkalaemia

Signs of hyperkalaemia on an ECG are flattened P waves, widened QRS and tall tented T waves. Untreated it will deteriorate to a sine wave pattern, leading to cardiac arrest.
It is difficult to correspond potassium level and ECG changes, the rate of onset of the hyperkalaemia will also influence any ECG changes.
