Vasopessors Pharmacology The vasopessors ephedrine and metaraminol are sympathomimetic amines. Ephedrine is an alpha and beta agonist Metaraminol may cause reflex bradycardia. Concurrent use of ephedrine and SNRIs may cause excessive sympathomimetic symptoms.
