Posterior compartment of leg

The posterior compartment of the leg is supplied by the tibial nerve.

There are 4 deep muscles:

• Tibialis posterior
• Flexor digitorum longus
• Flexor hallucis longus
• Popliteus

There are 3 superficial muscles:

• Gastrocnemius
• Plantaris
• Soleus
